Match Points 8/26/10: VIP Treatment
Feli has been making no secret about the US Open’s transportation snubs. Apparently, if you’re not ranked in the Top 32, you’ve gotta find your own way to Flushing Meadows. Not to take it lightly, but wouldn’t we just love to spot Feli on the subway?
At last night’s special Nike Knockout Event, although among the most disastrously-organized events we’ve seen—crowded court, no rules, rain, general chaos—the players seemed to be having a good time. Rafa was beyond adorable, his voice cracking with each comment, and Serena was surprisingly jovial, commenting on each player’s hotness in turn. She and J-Mac make a super fun pair.
Now, let’s get to the Points:
- Right now: Venus is hosting a live “Legends Clinic” online, sponsored by Ralph Lauren. We are loving the preppy awkwardness. [LegendsClinic.com]
- More from Venus—here’s a sneak peek of her Gilt line, and your chance to pre-purchase the items, officially available tomorrow. [Tennis Identity]
- Vika returns the Serena’s gushing compliments via Twitter last night after the Nike Primetime Knockout event [Twitter @vika7]
- The boys are enjoying SoHo. Here’s a glimpse of Feli’s penthouse view and Nando’s shopping trip.
- But what is going on with transportation at the US Open? Check out Feli’s many angry tweets to find out more. [Twitter]
- Lastly, we find out what it’s like to be named Janko when you step into a Starbucks. He obviously has not been trained in choosing one’s “Starbucks name.” [Yfrog]
